Cinema 4D to Instagram Reels: Effortless Vertical Exports

Welcome to my Cinema 4D vertical export tutorial! In this video, I’ll show you how I set up Cinema 4D so I can quickly export high-quality Instagram Stories and Reels in the 1080x1920 (vertical) dimension. I’ll walk through how I save time by using a custom startup file for Cinema 4D, along with tips I picked up from the Mind in Motion course. If you’ve ever been frustrated by having to reset your render preferences, frame rate, or aspect ratio each time, this workflow will help you streamline everything.

I’ll cover how I export image sequences (JPEGs) rather than MP4 files so I don’t lose an entire render if Cinema 4D crashes. We’ll also talk about using Redshift for optimal quality, including denoising and how I set my bucket size to 512 on my M1 Max and M1 Ultra systems. Plus, I’ll go over my Magic Bullet Looks post effects settings (like LUTs, Bloom, Streak, and S-curves) for that final polish. I also share my Dropbox folder workflow, naming conventions (year, month, day), and how I keep an eye on my renders while on-the-go.
