Palm Springs Travel Video
In this Palm Springs California travel video, it starts with our car ride from LA to Palm Springs, including the many windmills that makeup the desert terrain as you enter Palm Springs. I then introduce the video and transition into my plane ride to Palm Springs from Toronto. I have a few fast moving clips of a car ride around Palm Springs, including a car ride overlooking the Coachella Valley. Finally it finishes with El Paseo, a popular shopping district with some exceptional classic and unique looking cars. I even have some Frank Sinatra and Elon Musk voice overs to add to the California vibe!
Day 2, I created a montage of my hike up the Araby trail with my mom and our family friend. It included some references to Bob Hope, who’s historical home is situated along the Araby trail. The video ends a bit abruptly, don’t worry I was not hurt in the process!
Day 3, transitions to a nighttime video, of downtown Palm Springs. I used a vintage 80’s vibe look for the downtown night shots, including some tv reference transitions and sound effects. The video features Palm Spring’s famous date shakes at Great Shakes and the restaurant Lulu.
Day 4, in this video, I attended the speciality Starbucks in downtown Palm Springs. I purchased a cold brew infused float, for only 12 dollars American! It features a Starbucks Barista making my coffee, as well as some espresso and pour over coffees. There is one shot I added using a futuristic digital vibe using a cellphone.
Day 5, This video is of a plane ride with my dad. We booked a 30 minute biplane ride over Palm Springs/ Coachella Valley. It was worth every penny. It starts and ends with a reference to ‘Fly Away’ from Frank Sinatra, as hey, it’s Palm Springs and seemed to fit the look and feel of the place.
Day 6, is the final video of my series of Palm Spring shorts. It features our trip to LA/ Venice Beach. Venice Beech is about 2 hours from Palm Springs, although in traffic, even on a Saturday, longer. This video features the original muscle gym, some surfers catching a wave and the Santa Monica Pier, including Pacific Park and the many iconic amusement rides. The video also starts with an interview from the late LA rapper Nipsey Hussle, who unfortunately lost his life recently. He was an inspiration for his community and for giving back. I enjoyed this day, even though the weather was a bit mild.
