Blake Anderson

Blake has been producing videos for a the last decade. He has an array of eclectic interests, including a passion for film-making and visual motion-design. Blake has produced professional interviews, social-media commercials, animated map designs and promotional videos for businesses, artists and nonprofit organizations in the GTA and internationally. Blake has worked most recently with a local MPP, to visual communicate political messaging on a host of social and economical announcements.

 

Blake started his career as a Registered Social Worker, conducting therapy and ongoing assessments for individuals and couples. He continued to develop and hone his skills and knowledge on video editing and production. Blake’s combined interest in human psychology and social dynamics, allows Blake to have a unique and multidisciplinary perspective on a given topic he is visually communicating to the audience. Blake’s passion has remained film-making and throughout the years, he has honed and developed his video creation skills and knowledge.

Blake has completed an array of film training courses, including the Transformative Media Creation and Reception course by Mark Allan Kaplan, Ph.D., an integrally informed media training program and has recently joined their Lived Inquiry Metalab program as a research member. He is a trained in Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, as well as being experienced with a variety of video editing software. Blake has completed an array of online video training programs in video production and 3D Design programs, including courses from Greyscale Gorilla, ThinkTAPLearn, MZed Pro, Creative Highway, ProEdu, Cineversity, among others.

In Blake’s spare time, he’s an avid runner, enjoys reading nonfiction, music and staying healthy and active.

 

From Shoot to Edit:

Capturing the image with a Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K and Sony A7IV, a full lighting and audio setup, Blake is fully equipped and experienced in producing industry-leading videos for businesses in Southern Ontario and the GTA.
